Passion for Customer-Centric Growth

During my 30-year career, I’ve worked directly with a wide variety of businesses: large and small, successful and unsuccessful, domestic and international.

Much of that career has been as either a Senior Executive or Consultant where I’ve had the opportunity to work with Founders, Owners, CEO’s and Boards about some of the important and often difficult decisions they need to make. 

I’ve worked in areas such as:

-       Workforce strategy and skill development

-       Operational improvement such as process optimisation and cost control 

-       Sales & marketing improvement

-       Product & service innovation including entry into new markets

-       Acquisition, divestment and raising new capital

Specific relevant examples of my experience include:

  • For a North American clean-tech start-up, I was Chief Operating Officer and Board Director where I led the revitalisation of the Board, institution of a new governance model, recapitalisation of the business and ultimately successful divestment of the business to new investors

  • For an Australian nutrition science business, I led the design and implementation of a new omni-channel marketing strategy focussed on both traditional and emerging digital platforms that led to a significant growth in sales

  • For an innovative Australian Optometry services business, I led the redefinition of the value proposition that led to a partnership with a major Optometry chain

  • For a biotech start-up, I led the second round of funding seeking to raise up to $10m from new investors

  • For a boutique Australian consulting business, I led the successful launch of a new Melbourne based office and new engagements with several major Victorian brands

  • For an Australian agriculture business, I led the development of a business plan to develop a major new tourist destination in Western Victoria
